Sound Breastfeeding services are now available through Sound Beginnings!

Based in Shoreline, Washington since 2007 the private practice of Joy MacTavish, MA, IBCLC, RLC, ICCE, has offered parenting support and Seattle area lactation consultations, support, and education to families through all aspects of their breastfeeding journey – from prenatal preparation, early days with a newborn, handling potential challenges, exploring transitions, all the way through weaning.

In October 2017, in an effort to continue to best serve new families while growing and changing, Sound Breastfeeding began the process of transitioning to a new entity Sound Beginnings.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, all classes, clinical consultations, and on-going support for breastfeeding clients are comprehensive and compassionate. With years of experience supporting families, hundreds of hours of education and training, and hundreds of hours of hospital, community, and home-based clinical experience, supporting families is truly my passion.
